  1. Is the TASER 7 CQ rechargeable?

    • No, the TASER 7 CQ is not rechargeable. However, its batteries are user-replaceable, providing ample energy for multiple uses. TASER 7 CQ replacement batteries are available for purchase.

  2. Are the cartridges reusable?

    • Each cartridge can be fired only once but can deliver multiple electrical cycles. This means that while the darts project at a target only once, subsequent electrical cycles can be engaged if the darts remain in the target after the initial 5-second electrical cycle.

  3. What is the effective range for the TASER 7 CQ cartridge?

    • The TASER 7 CQ cartridge has an effective range of 4 - 12 feet.

  4. After the cartridge is fired, are you completely defenseless?

    • No, all TASER energy weapons are equipped with backup stun gun features to be used after the cartridge has been deployed.

  5. Do the probes need to hit a specific area to be effective?

    • As long as all conditions for Neuromuscular Incapacitation (NMI) are met, including probe connection and spread, a current can flow through muscles, causing the attacker to lose control.

  6. Will a TASER 7 CQ be effective on an attacker in thick clothing?

    • Yes, the darts can penetrate clothing, and the electricity can jump up to two inches of combined distances between the probes and the skin.

  7. Will TASER 7 CQ incapacitation effects work on larger, stronger people?

    • Yes, a TASER energy weapon may be just as effective on a 300-pound man as it is on a 150-pound woman.

  8. Will a TASER 7 CQ work on an attacker who is high or intoxicated?

    • Probe deployment's ability to induce NMI does not depend on the target's mental state, as long as probe connection and spread conditions are met.

  9. What’s the difference between the civilian TASER 7 CQ and the Law Enforcement TASER 7 CQ?

    • There is no difference; the civilian TASER 7 CQ is 100% identical to the Law Enforcement-grade TASER 7 CQ.

The jury is still out on this unit. I haven't fired any test cartridges yet. Looks like a solid build tho.

Great personal protection the Taser 7 CQ. From the ease of use to 2 shot capability and very bright led light. I wish it had 2 lasers like the law enforcement version which I would give it a 5 star instead of 4. This isn’t the first taser I have owned but it’s my favorite so far.
Taser 7 is the only taser product that does a good job of penetrating thick garments which is a concern for me in the colder months. This product has a lot of advancements over other models from increased probe spread especially at close range to thick clothing penetration as well as faster dart speed. Very expensive product but it could save your life.
