TASER 7 CQThe Taser 7 CQ (Close Quarters) is available in both civilian and law enforcement versions. According to research data, the majority of TASER deployments occur within a short distance of the subject, with over 85% taking place within 12 feet. As a result, both law enforcement and civilian TASER 7 CQ are designed specifically for close-quarters use, with its cartridges optimized to achieve the best spread of probes at a distance of just 3 feet from the subject.

Both law enforcement and civilian TASER 7 CQ hold 2 cartridges that provide a backup shot which removes the need to manually reload and improves safety and performance in the case of a missed shot or clothing disconnect. Both units also feature a warning arc that increases voluntary surrenders and helps stop conflicts from escalating. It issues an audible warning directly over the front of live cartridges. See the video below for an explanation of additional features of the law enforcement TASER 7 CQ.

Some differences between both units are the civilian TASER 7 CQ comes with 12 feet cartridges while the law enforcement version utilizes 25 feet cartridges. The civilian TASER 7 CQ battery is not rechargeable while the law enforcement battery is rechargeable. The law enforcement data can be uploaded to Axon's evidence.com website while the civilian version cannot.

It's important to note that the civilian version of the Taser 7 CQ is not intended for use by law enforcement professionals. Additionally, the civilian version may not be legal to own or use in certain jurisdictions.
