TASER Pulse vs TASER Pulse PlusAXON (formally TASER International) is a leading manufacturer of less-lethal self-defense devices, and their TASER Pulse and TASER Pulse Plus models are two of the most popular options on the market. Both devices are effective at incapacitating attackers, but there are some key differences between the two models that may make one a better choice for you than the other. Keep in mind, the TASER Pulse+ device was retired on April 8th, 2022, however, some retailers are still selling the unit.

Features

The TASER Pulse and Pulse Plus are both compact and lightweight, making them easy to carry and conceal. They have a range of up to 15 feet and can deliver a five-second electrical shock that will disable an attacker for up to 30 seconds. Both models also have an integrated laser sight and flashlight for added accuracy and visibility in low-light conditions.

TASER Safe Escape Product Replacement Guarantee

Both units come with the TASER Safe Escape Product Replacement Guarantee which states that the weapon may be deployed and left behind providing the user an opportunity to get to safety and call law enforcement. TASER will replace the unit if lost if various requirements are met.

TASER Self-Defense x Noonlight Mobile Integration

The TASER Pulse Plus has a few additional features that the Pulse does not. It has a built-in GPS that can track your location in case of an emergency, and it can also connect to your smartphone free Noonlight App via Bluetooth to send alerts to your contacts and dispatch 911 if you are in trouble. Noonlight dispatches law enforcement to the user's location immediately if the trigger is pulled, using real-time GPS tracking provided through the Noonlight mobile application.

Battery

The TASER Pulse uses a non-rechargeable lithium power battery pack and the TASER Pulse Plus uses non-rechargeable two (2) CR123A 3-volt lithium batteries lasting up to two years.

Price

The TASER Pulse is the less expensive of the two models, with an MSRP price of $399. The TASER Pulse Plus is more expensive, with an MSRP price of $499.

Which One Should You Choose?

If you are looking for a reliable and effective less-lethal self-defense device, either the TASER Pulse or Pulse Plus would be a good choice. The Pulse is a great option for those on a budget, while the Pulse Plus offers some additional features that may be worth the extra cost for some users.

Here are some additional things to consider when choosing between the TASER Pulse and Pulse Plus:

  • Your budget: If you are on a tight budget, the TASER Pulse is a great option. However, if you are willing to spend a little more, the TASER Pulse Plus offers some additional features that may be worth the investment.
  • Your needs: If you live in a rural area or frequently travel to remote locations, the built-in GPS and Bluetooth connectivity of the TASER Pulse Plus may be valuable features. However, if you live in a city or suburban area, these features may not be as important to you.
